TOUR FROM OUARZAZATE TO MERZOUGA IN 2 DAYS

Your desert adventure begins bright and early. At 8:00 AM, your experienced guide will meet you at your accommodation in Ouarzazate. From there, you’ll embark on a scenic journey through the diverse landscapes of Morocco.

Your first stop will be the picturesque Skoura Oasis, renowned for its ancient kasbahs and lush palm groves. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to visit a women’s cooperative, where you can learn about the traditional process of rose water distillation.

Continuing your journey, you’ll pass through the enchanting Rose Valley, a region famous for its fragrant roses. As you drive through this picturesque valley, you’ll be captivated by the vibrant colors of the rose fields.

Next, you’ll arrive in Kalaat M’Gouna, often referred to as the “Rose Capital of the World.” This charming town is known for its annual Rose Festival, where locals celebrate the harvest of the precious flowers.

After exploring Kalaat M’Gouna, you’ll head towards the Todra Gorges, a breathtaking canyon with towering cliffs that rise to 300 meters high. You’ll have the chance to hike through the gorge, marveling at the dramatic rock formations and the clear, flowing river.

As the day draws to a close, you’ll arrive in Erfoud, renowned for its fossil deposits and annual date festival. After a delicious lunch, you’ll continue your journey to Merzouga.

Upon reaching Merzouga, you’ll check into your accommodation and prepare for your camel trek. You’ll pack only the essentials as you embark on a memorable adventure across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. As the sun begins to set, you’ll witness a breathtaking spectacle of colors painting the sky.

You’ll spend the night in a traditional Berber camp, relaxing under the stars, enjoying a delicious dinner, and listening to traditional music.

Wake up early to witness one of the most breathtaking sunrises over the Sahara Desert. After a delicious breakfast, you’ll embark on a camel trek back to Merzouga, taking in the serene beauty of the desert landscape one last time.

Upon your return to Merzouga, you’ll check out of your accommodation and head towards the historic town of Rissani. Explore the bustling souk, where you can find a variety of traditional Moroccan products, such as spices, textiles, and handicrafts.

Continuing your journey, you’ll drive through the picturesque Draa Valley, known for its vast palm groves and ancient kasbahs. You’ll pass through the charming village of Nkob, the first settlement along the Draa River.

After a delicious lunch, you’ll cross the Ait Sawn Pass, a scenic mountain pass with stunning views of the surrounding landscape. As you descend the pass, you’ll arrive back in Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Africa.” Your 2-day desert adventure will end, leaving you with unforgettable memories of the Sahara Desert.
