DAY 1TANGIER ARRIVAL

After your arrival at IBN BATOUTA International airport in Tangier, where you will be welcomed by a member of our team, and then drive to your accommodation, the driver will provide a brief review of your tour. Dinner & night at the hotel.

DAY 2TANGIER SIGHTSEEING TOUR

Pick up from your hotel after breakfast and depart to discover the beauty of Thr North Bride as Moroccan people call it, The city of Tangier was founded in the 4th century BC by the Carthaginians who made it a commercial town (Tingi). Due to the historical presence of many civilizations, Tangier has a rich history that begins when Antaeus, son of Poseidon, would have chosen to give his wife’s name, Tingis (“Tanjah” in Arabic), to a place on the Mediterranean coast.

But it was most likely the Berbers who have created Tinga, the lagoon city. The Phoenicians installed a business counter from Lixus, around the 7th or the 6th century BC. After the fall and the destruction of Carthage, Tangier became Roman and was even declared the capital of Mauretania, Tingitane. Later, during the 8th century of our era, it served the Arab goals in Europe.

Considered by the latter to be a strategic post, Tangier was stormed by Berber troops, freshly converted to Islam, and became Arab for the first time. The city became Moroccan (through the Idrissides), then Spanish, through the Cordoba Omeyyades, then Moroccan again through the big dynasties. Taking advantage of its exceptional location on the strait,

the Tingitane Peninsula observes closely, the big European embarkations on the sea, to trade and discover new horizons. Tangiers benefits from it directly, and the great explorer’s Ibn Batouta and Leo Africanus describe it as a zone of great riches and peace. Overnight and dinner at the Hotel.

DAY 3FROM TANGIER TO CHEFCHOUAEN THROUGH TETOUAN

After breakfast, a journey will take us to the beautiful town of Chefchaouen passing through the Amazigh city of Tetouan with its Moorish architecture. Chefchaouen or Chaouen derived its name from the two mountains that surround it. It was the main base for the Berber tribes who used to launch raids against the Spanish colonization. Overnight with breakfast at Chefchouaen.

DAY 4FROM CHEFCHAOUEN TO FEZ THROUGH VOLUBILIS

After breakfast, we will drive toward the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, the well preserved Roman Empire dating back to 225BC – where you will see the most beautiful mosaics in Morocco, dating back to the 3rd century BC. After the visit to this unique site, we will visit the sacred town of Moulay Idriss Zerhoun, and then we will drive back to Meknes to start exploring the Medina of Meknes.

This marvelous city was once the capital of Morocco during the reign of Moulay Ismail, thus it is known as the Ismailian capital of Morocco. It is also known as “the walled city”.

You will see the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, the Granary, the Sahrij Souani basin, the famous Gate of Bab Mansour, and also the underground Qara Prison and the Dome of the Ambassadeurs. In the afternoon you will have some free time to wander around the square entertained by storytellers, musicians, and snake charmers. Overnight with dinner in Fez.

DAY 5FEZ SIGHTSEEING TOUR

After having rest and take breakfast, an official local guide will be there in the hotel waiting for you to start an explorative journey of the Medina where you will visit the many hidden treasures that only the inhabitants of the place know about. Fes served as the capital of Morocco for more than 350 years and is home to the University of Al Karaouine, the oldest operating university in the world.

Your guided tour will take you to the Moulay Idriss mausoleum, the Nejjarine Fountains, and the Tanneries. After lunch, you will also view the exterior of the Royal Palace and walk through the famous Jewish quarter “the Mellah”, where you will have the option to visit one of the few living synagogues in Morocco. Your tour of Fes includes a short visit to the famous ceramic factory, and then you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view over the whole Medina of Fes. Back to Riad.

DAY 6FROM FEZ TO MERZOUGA THROUGH IFRAN, CEDAR FOREST AND ZIZ VALLEY

In the morning we pick you up from your accommodation in Fez then we will start our journey which will take us along the beautiful south road, where the landscape changes dramatically from the snowy hills of Ifrane the cleanest city in Morocco to the Cedar Forest of the middle Atlas than the dry weather of the desert. Along the way we will stop to visit the Ifran’s Lion, then we will stop to visit the Atlas apes, we continue our way to join Awfouss Oasis, one of the largest oases in North Africa.

Upon your arrival to Merzouga, you will camel trek crossing the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi to spend a night of your life under the clear sky and under the nomad tents in a camp in the middle of the desert, a chance to get to know the real inner-you.

DAY 7FROM MERZOUGA TO DADES VIA TODRA GORGES AND TINJDAD

You will have to wake up early to catch the sun rising up from behind a sea of sand dunes one of the most beautiful sunrises in the world, then you will camel trek back to the hotel where you will shower and have breakfast. After refreshing up, we will depart to Dades Gorges, including a visit to Rissani’s famous souk, the town where the Alaouist dynasty started ruling Morocco since 350 years ago until the moment.

Then we will pass through the town of Erfoud, very well known for fossils, also an international dates festival takes place in this town. We continue our way through a desert-like landscape and villages to join the wonderful Todra Gorges, a very beautiful canyon with 300m high walls and a 20m wide mouth. We hit the road to Dades. Overnight and dinner at the hotel.

DAY 8FROM DADES TO AIT BEN HADOU VIA ROSES VALLEY, SEKOURA AND OUARZAZATE

After breakfast, we will take the road to the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou via the Rose Valley including a stop at a rose distillation Unit in order to get a clear idea of how rose productions are manufactured, then continue by passing by the Skoura Palm grove and the road of 1001 Kasbahs.

Then we continue to join Hollywood of Africa, the city of Ouarzazate, very well known for being the spot of the international movie makers and in which famous movies were filmed such as “ The Mummy”,” Prince of Persia”, “Gladiator”, “Operation Red Sea” and so many other movies. Then we continue our way to the famous UNESCO World Heritage site Ksar or Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a very wonderful fortified city that stands at the edge of a hill separated by a running Ounila river. Overnight with dinner at Kasbah Hotel.

DAY 9FROM AIT BEN HADOU TO MARRAKECH VIA SALT MINE, KASBAH TELOUATE AND ATLAS MOUNTAINS

After breakfast, we will visit the Kasbah of Ait ben Haddou, a very wonderful fortified city that stands on the edge of a hill separated by a running river. Then we drive via the atlas mountains to visit another Kasbah that hides inside the mountains, Kasbah Telouat, the house of the former warlord Pasha El Galoui, who used to control the region. Do not let its falling walls and ruined parts delude you as it is very lavishly decorated from the inside.

We continue our way to join the principal way and pass via one of Morocco’s amazing roads, the Tichka Pass which lies 2260m above sea level. Then we will stop for a coffee and a visit to the Arga oil co-operative. After that, we continue to join the red city. overnight with dinner at the hotel.

DAY 10MARRAKECH SIGHTSEEING TOUR

After breakfast you will be joined by an official local guide to see all the sites of historical and cultural interest, The morning begins with a visit to the magnificent Koutoubia Mosque as the landmark of Marrakech which has inspired other buildings such as the Giralda of Seville and the Hassan Tower of Rabat.

Your next stop is the Bahia Palace and the Saadian Tombs. The Saadian tombs in Marrakech date back to the time of the sultan Ahmad al-Mansur. The tombs were discovered in 1917 and were restored by the Beaux-arts service. The mausoleum comprises the interments of about sixty members of the Saadian Dynasty that originated from the valley of the Draa River.

After a lunch break, You Continue to the world-famous Jemaa el Fna Square, which houses an array of food, snake charmers, local musicians, and fortune-tellers. There’s nowhere on Earth like the Jemaa el Fna, the square at the heart of old Marrakesh. You will also walk through the souks and view hundreds of handicrafts. A night with breakfast at the Riad/Hotel.

DAY 11FROM MARRAKECH TO ESSAOUIRA

Start Our journey from Marrakech to Essaouira. in Road, you will see many Argan trees, important to the region both economically and ecologically. You may also see local goats perched in the trees feeding on the fruit and leaves. At the women’s Cooperative of Argan Oil, there will be an opportunity to learn about the wide-ranging applications of the oil from cosmetics to medicines.

After several stops to take photographs, you will continue your travel to Essaouira. You’ll visit the Skala Fortress, the port, the souks, and see Thuya wood carved by artisans, walking through the alleys of the medina and past the hundreds of handicrafts. Today you will have lunch in a Moroccan way, buy fish cooked to order. The afternoon is free to walk and explore by yourself. Overnight accommodation with dinner and breakfast at the Hotel.

DAY 12ESSAOUIRA SIGHTSEEING TOUR

After breakfast, Starting our day to explore the medina with a local guide. You will have the opportunity to see the Mellah, the former Jewish quarter, and The Medina as a UNESCO World Heritage Site with beautiful arts and crafts to be found, including objects carved out of local Thuya wood. You will enjoy a mint tea in one of the local cafés and explore the Atlantic-facing sandy beach. A night with breakfast at the Hotel.

DAY 13FROM ESSAOUIRA TO CASABLANCA VIA ASFI AND EL JADIDA

Departure to Rabat through the picturesque coastal road, stopping in Oualidia for a fish lunch in a local restaurant with a sea view. Continue to El Jadida, sightseeing in the town includes the famous citadel, built under the Portuguese occupation in the 16th century. Arrived in Rabat late afternoon. A night with breakfast at the hotel.

DAY 14FROM CASABLANCA TO ASSILAH THROUGH RABAT AND LARACHE

After breakfast, and before departing to Tangier, our journey start with a visit around Hassan 2 Mosque, then we will hit the road to the Capital, we will visit Hassan Tower and kings tombs, then we visit the famous Kasbah Oudaya. we hit the road to Assilah, Overnight with breakfast at the hotel.
